Inside the box you’ll find the PowerPort+ 1, a welcome guide, and a feedback card. It’s all put together in frustration free packaging style, so no annoying packaging to rip apart.
The product itself is extremely well built. It has a nice glossy finish around most of the body, and a matte finish around the USB
port. The wall plug can be folded into the body for easy travel. There is a indicator light on the USB side of the charger to let you know when something is charging.
Primarily, this product is for users with a quick charge compatible device. However, this will still charge your regular devices, just not quickly. This product does not appear to have PowerIQ (which I am a little disappointed at). So, I wouldn’t recommend this device if your primary use is a non-quick charge compatible device. But, it will still charge your device at standard charging speeds.
The product description claims that this works with USB-C (meaning a USB-A to USB-C cable will work), but it does not mean that your device will charge at USB-C charging speeds or Quick Charge speeds. This is because USB-A simply does not handle the USB-C charging speeds and USB-C devices (specifically the Nexus 5X, 6P and the Google Pixel C) are not compatible with Qualcomm Quick Charge technology.

Overall, this is a great product. But be aware, it is not for everyone, although it will still work for all your devices. The PowerPort+ 1 with Quick Charge 3.0 is backwards compatible with Quick Charge 1.0 and 2.0. I have a Quick Charge 2.0 device that I plan on using with this PowerPort, so you’re bound to find something that works great with this device.
